Baby shower #1:
Kristi's baby shower was AMAZING. So so pretty and just a great time overall. My mom & sister did an amazing job. So many friends and family were there. What a wonderful day filled with so many I love. Ill just let the pictures do the talking here:

Photos courtesy of Mom & Dad Naylor. AKA Grandma and Papa Naylor. I've never written that out before. Weird.
Love you guys! Thanks for the photos!

Whew! That is a lot of photos! And all of these photos were taken 1 day. crazy. Wasn't the shower beautiful?! And that candy bar- wow. yum. The time with my family was just the best though. Love you all!

March in review: Post #1

Well, hello! We're 5 days into April and I haven't even caught up on March- the busiest month EVER! Well, at least for the year 2012 so far. It was full of events: 2 baby showers (one that I traveled to, and one that I helped throw), DCA, Fall Fest meeting, Pets & Pals, charity events, friends, etc. etc.  I have pictures GALORE to share with you. I'm going to try to get them all up tonight, but in a few different posts to break it up a bit.

Here are a few pictures from my trip to AZ for my sister Kristi's baby shower. She is due at the end of May and is having a little boy, whose name will be Jett Anthony. I can't wait to meet the little guy! My trip was done solo - Greg had to stay here in the rain. Not that it was much better for me! I get to AZ where I'm looking forward to 80 degree weather and what do I get? RAIN! And HAIL! Oh well. It was a whirlwind of a trip - but oh so good!

 SEESTER!

Cheed & me! I could not be more proud of my little bro!

Kristi, Jeni, Chad, me

My SISTERS! I love these women so much & miss them terribly. We are all in different states now, and this was the first time we had all three been together in years. It did my heart good to spend some quality time with them. Love you Jeni & Kristi - you beautiful mothers you!

Day Dreaming

Today was so lovely. Big white clouds and ample sunshine. Makes me want spring right NOW. Well, it is just around the corner. I can already see the daffodils starting to poke up their pretty heads out of the ground, and more and more buds are on trees and bushes. Today made me think of a day last spring when Kristi was here for a visit. We all went on a bike ride. Those are the days to remember.

Body Parts (from a child’s point of view)

Last Saturday, my sis Jeni and I skyped. It was so good to see and talk with her. I even got to see Spencer, Ethan and Olivia. Ryleigh must have been out doing something pre-teenish. Gosh that girl has grown up! Olivia is 3, wait 4? No, almost 4, but still 3. She’s a red headed wild child who I think could probably charm just about anyone to do just about anything.
Jeni was telling me about all of the hilarious things that Livy (short for Olivia) says…which is quite often. There was one particular thing that Jeni said she wished she could blog, but didn’t feel she could because of the youngins that sometimes read her blog. Well, I don’t have such readers, and since we’re all adults here, I’m going to share this (what I thought absolutely hilarious) little story:
Recently, she had to teach Livy about girl body parts and the word “vagina”. (GASP! I just used the word vagina on my blog! Wait for it…it’s about to get worse!) Why at such a young age you ask? Because apparently Livy was going around explaining that “boys have a penis…. and girls have a butt penis!” Hmmmm….an interesting take on that one don’t you think? I laughed until I cried and almost wet my pants.
That’s the hard thing about living away from them….missing the most hilarious moments. Kids do say the darndest things, don’t they? Thank goodness for Skype!

I couldn’t resist sharing a pic from Jeni’s blog of the spitfire Livy.
Isn’t she a cutie pie?! Speaking of her blog…check it out for more hilarious stories (or if you are a big fan of baseball): www.linnloop.blogspot.com.
